Box Calls
Checker Boxes
These calls are made from a solid block of wood. Each call is hand checkered with 20 block pattern in the lid and each side. The bottom of the call is laminated to the box to match the wood of the lid. Inlay is fitted by hand in the lid and the bottom of the call. A matching side trim makes the call comfortable to hold. Each call is signed and dated by the call maker, with a description of the wood used in the call. Each call is finished and tuned by knives and chisels. These calls will make a nice addition to a call collection, and will be your favorite hunting call. Many species are offered from domestic woods. Laminated Box

These are five piece laminated boxes. These boxes are a perfect size to fit in a jacket of vest pocket. All calls are hand assembled and tuned in my shop for a top quality call. These calls are offered in many woods. I offer several different wood combos in this call, including, walnut, cedar, poplar, cherry, maple, butternut.

Long Box Calls
I build the long box body out of Butternut and the paddle out of Red Cedar. These calls are finished in the classic long box box fashion. Each call is finished out by hand with a knife and chisel. Four to five coats of a hand rubbed Tung Oil finish is applied to the call .The call is tuned to get the demanding yelps, loud popping cutts, and excited cackles. Each call is signed and dated by the call maker. This is one of my favorite locating calls in windy conditions, and rough terrain. Put one in your vest and get a gobbler fired up this Spring.
